Resource Spotlight: Pathways

This week we are doing a resource spotlight about Pathways.org, a great website and resource for parents, provided by the Pathways Awareness Foundation, dedicated to raising awareness about the gift of early detection and the benefit or early therapy for infants and children with early motor delays. Early detection is the best prevention!

The website offers dozens upon dozens of resources, including Early Intervention services, listing by state for pediatric therapists, videos, and activities. They also have a list of useful links for parents for other resources. In addition, they offer videos, CD-ROM's, brochures, handouts, posters, and numerous informative articles.

The activities are based on the expertise of the Pathways Medical Round Table -- a team of leading physicians, clinicians, nurse practitioners, and lay advisors. They are sensitive to the medical and emotional needs of infants and children with early motor delays (including cerebral palsy) and their families and/or caregivers.

Finally, they provide information about the Pathways Center, a pediatric clinic offering occupational, physical, and speech therapy, located in Glenview, Illinois.

You can access their website and these numerous beneficial resources at: http://pathways.org/.
