- Buy some glycerin soap at a craft store.
- Melt it in the microwave, add food coloring, and our into a mold, such as an ice cube tray.
- You can also add essential oils if you want them to be scented, though most people find that unnecessary for bath crayons.
- They will take about an hour to cool completely, then you can pop them out of the mold.
And voilĂ ... you have bath crayons!
what kind of food coloring - i always worry about using food coloring i am scared it is going to stain
ReplyDeleteGood point about the staining...I'd be concerned, too. My daughter has some store-bought bath crayons that come off of tile very easily, but I don't know about fiberglass or acrylic tubs & showers. If you are interested, www.indiatree.com (and many other online retailers) have natural food colors; they are also available from Amazon.com and at Whole Food grocery stores. I have not used these yet, but would prefer using a natural ingredient for edibles.
